Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

BTW, have you checked with the supply houses to make sure all the replacement stuff for your reno is available? My neighbors did a kitchen reno about 6 months ago and had to wait months after ripping everything out due to shortages and shipping delays.

Typhoon well, I learned that he didn't make it. I got that information before I even made it near the vet... I ended up having to take a horse to Newbury Park for shoes. Made it home just about 30 minutes ago.

I don’t think that’s correct on those Tire sensors. I’m glad you left there. They do have batteries in the sensors, which will go bad, but those sensors should be constantly communicating with the car (the light being on shouldn’t drain the batteries).

There should be a box that plugs into the car and tells them exactly which sensor is bad. Anyways glad you got outta there!

colej Yeah… not a bright bunch working at a tire place. The sensor they originally changed when they did the tires was not working. I went back and he used the scan tool and it showed it not working but the other 3 were. I made an appointment to fix it, 2 days later the light comes back on. Probably a month has gone by and now he scans it and says the new one works but the other 3 are dead.🙄

I’ll swing by my regular mechanic and see if he can scan them.

Wow sounds like you’re all very lucky he’s still on earth. The really great thing is he’s moved close enough to where you’ll get to see him often 😃

colej Yes, very lucky. I t was a pretty shitty time. Found out a week before Christmas. We were lucky that nothing ever went wrong with his counts, we didn't panic over small things so we were able to stay out of the hospital unless it was a scheduled visit. One of the first kids to go through a double stem cell replacement which was a huge life saver. Not many kids survived this one.

My oldest son is moving back to St. Louis from southern Missouri on March 1st. He wants to buy a house so I went with him today to look at three. It was supposed to be four but one was withdrawn from the market. I think he may make an offer on one of them. We'll see what happens.

Typhoon so am I. He was a sweet horse, we didn't always get along he and I however he was a sweet horse.
Bright side, the vet was a pleasure to deal with. Didn't mind me trying to help, and she had a good sense of humor. We were cracking jokes from time to time when I was there, and I was told that I need to show up when she's on night call all weekend...
Hoping I can run into her tomorrow when I have to go pick up another horse at the same place...

Rickochet 😅 You don't watch too many of those reno shows on TV, do you? 1st thing you do is rip everything out/apart, and as the contractor's 'team' is working, you THEN go to order what you want. Every show. Every day.
And they all got sledgehammers. 😩

Rickochet Yes, we ordered all the appliances already, small appliance store near us so it’s all good for that. This was supposed to happen a few months ago but the contractor waited to have everything before he started… so that was good.

LogicalOne The steel post.....that is right in the middle of the wall they are going to remove. Or the main plumbing drain. Don't look in the basement 1st, just take the sledge to the wall.....you'll find it!! They ALWAYS find it. 🤣

Par4QC Funny you say that, the guy was just downstairs here looking for the Lally columns. It’s all a finished lower level. The house is a split and everything around here was built the same time and he lives across the street so I’m not worried. Not his first rodeo doing this in this type of house

I don't think that they are phony. Some shows picture more of the jobs with "issues" since they add more drama. Love it or List It always has drama and does seem a bit scripted. But other shows like Holmes Makes It Right and Fixer Upper have less scripted BS. Sherry Holmes also wears a pair of jeans nicely. 😜

garyt1957 I would agree it looks phony, but I can NEVER do anything around my house without running into some sort of "Issue". I am convinced that I have the worst luck with this. Everyone homeowner has at least one horror story, but I run into problems with nearly every job.

The previous and original owner "Steve" was apparently a Mr Fixit type guy, but he didn't do anything the proper way. Every issue my wife and I just look at each other and mutter "effin Steve". My dad would fix everything himself and I'm relatively handy even without the engineering degree, but I am literally gunshy approaching any work on my house because I know that 9/10 times there will be something unexpected.
