Almost wanted to create a thread entitled " golf shit that amazes me". I'm working indoors tonite. Guy calls up and asks if we are open🤔. Then asks if we have rental clubs for an hour. I said no but we do have random clubs if he just wants to hit balls. He says nothing, asks if we have junior clubs... I said Yes but same thing. He says Ok, what time does Golf Galaxy close. I said, I have no idea, I don't work there. He says 'I'll go buy some drivers and come over'.... WTF?? I said, don't you own clubs? he said he sold them.
These are the idiots created by the pandemic. He also sounded like a single abusive Dad over the phone.
Yesterday at the course I had 2 kids come, first thing they said is " can I rent a cart"... they had no clubs... wanted to play 9, one kid had never played golf before. I gave them 2 rental sets and the kid who never has been on a course was old enough to rent a cart... God only knows where that ended up half the time. They had no balls or tees... I gave them shit from the pro shop but they had no clue that they needed those to play, They went out for an hour, somehow got lost and cam in on the 18th an hour later.
