LBlack14 Rickochet I can see not wanting you to drive with only one good wing. Sorry you're going through this, Rick.
Rickochet Walterjn toss the warden in the Tacoma, and show her that you can drive. Maybe she will let you run I errands again. I did that a few days ago and did just fine. It took a few tries to learn where to grab on the wheel to do a full 90 degree turn and after a few turns in our 'hood I did fine and drove to a local store. In my opinion I passed the test. She still doesn't want me to drive. ๐
Par4QC Rickochet Ya'll must be city slickers, or have bad memories. When, and where, I grew up, these were mainstays of driving, esp. on farm implements. Hell, iirc, Cheech & Chong had one in their car & van. ๐

She doesnโt want to see you or someone else hurt.
Rickochet Par4QC Ya'll must be city slickers, or have bad memories. Guilty on both counts. ๐ You didn't post a pic but you must be talking about a steering wheel knob. I actually have one I got from Tractor Supply a few yeaes ago for my mower. ๐ Edited: I see it now. Adblock blocks Amazon pics.
Par4QC Rickochet You don't see the pic? Yeah, back in the day, they were a must. No power steering. Those old tractors could be a bitch for a little kid. Esp. when you had to make a turn around and pull the lever/rope behind to raise something, all at the same time. btw, there were fences 'taken out' a few times.๐
ode Work then golf ... These are the best days of the year ...70's with little humidity. Mosquito's are baaaaaaaaad around here. The worst I've ever seen. My course sprayed for em on Monday and it's tolerable now!

Esp. when you had to make a turn around and pull the lever/rope behind to raise something, all at the same time. I went ahead and ordered some with a better reviews (couldn't find the other) and they be here Sat. One for my Taco and two for my Toro. ๐ For right hand use I wonder where the best location on the wheel would be.
Par4QC Getting a round in today with Jake. He doesn't get time to play much any more, so it will be good, esp. mid-week. We'll put the new shaft in his hands and see if it's a 300+ type thing. I better take the camera. ๐ค
LogicalOne Par4QC We'll put the new shaft in his hands and see if it's a 300+ type thing. I better take the camera. ๐ค ๐ฒ Have a good time with Jake! ๐
Walterjn Rickochet For right hand use I wonder where the best location on the wheel would be. Where do you normally put your hand when driving with only your right? Where is the most natural, and comfortable spot to put your hand?
Par4QC Rickochet So now you are asking if my pea sized brain has THAT good of a memory! iirc, they were about 2 o'clock. (10 & 2.....if memories of Dr. Ed. are good๐)
Rickochet Walterjn Where is the most natural, and comfortable spot to put your hand? I have one but it doesn't involve steering. ๐คฃ Regarding the knobs I think it is about the range of movement of my right arm must do. Actually two knobs at ten and two o'clock might do well.
LBlack14 Par4QC No iPhone here They're garbage, anyway. I don't see the pic either. Phone/site doesn't work the same with AdBlock.
Rickochet Typhoon Well to be honest I think she knows you drive normally fine but if you had to make an emergency move you couldnโt do it. I don't see a diff doing an emergency move with one or two hands. 98% of emergency moves is using the brake. Plus where I need to go is on 35mph streets. Plus with my "cat like" reflexes I will not have any issues.
colej Rickochet Thereโs a guy I used to golf with who has arms that only go to about where his elbows are. So no hands at all and he drives. I think youโll be fine
Typhoon Rickochet Plus with my "cat like" reflexes I will not have any issues. ๐๐๐ love it!!
LBlack14 Somebody forgot their basketball bag/gear, so I have to take that stuff to Miss Payton @ 2:30. After that, heading to the optometrist to pic up a couple pair of Oakley bifocals that insurance helped pay for 1 and I overpaid for the other, even at 50% off. HSA $$$ just laying around so wtf, you only live once. Then heading down to hang out with Mom for a bit.
