Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

golf_bhoy You made it into the Sky Sports live featured group coverage - pretty sure I watched that shot this morning while having breakfast, I remember the commentators discussing whether it was in the bunker or not (I called not).

I think that the feed on the European Tour YouTube channel will be the Sky Featured Groups coverage - was looking at that feed because I can't justify paying for a Sky subscription.

(For what it's worth, Hatton was very unlucky with the result of that drive - would have been an easier shot if it had made it into the bunker, and a much easier shot if he had missed the shot further left (as the left rough on the 2nd was pretty light for the most part - the only concern for most of the guys who hit it there was if they were going to get a flyer.)

I've had the dog for a walk and just about to go sort out my son's car; might grab the pencil bag and fit in a few holes, got an event at Auchterarder tomorrow.

Yes, we were able to go out and watch the golf after finishing our shift if we wanted to. (I went home, though - was on the bike (as I haven't been cleared to drive yet after my unexpected hospital visit at the start of May), and wanted to get home before the rain came in.)

Concerning working at the golf course, my wife says if I were smarter I wouldn’t be working there. So I have that going for me.

Heading back to former place of employment this morning to see the old folks and assistant/friend for a bit. TPC @ 11, then PT @ 2. Depending on the weather, I may try to hit more than just a wedge. Tonight heading to MVP Sports Bar/Never On Sunday to pick up my signed issue of a book written by a former radio/sports guy (WEBN's "Wildman Walker") and friend. I missed the original signing back in March and he texted me and said he saved me a copy and he'd be there tonight. Gonna get some vittles, a few cold draft beers and watch some of the All-star game, while we're at it.

Spent an hour trying to charge and jumpstart the Equinox battery. No go. Went to Autozone and bought a new one for $160 and spent an hour replacing it. Took me a while to figure out how to get the stupid fuse module loose from the top of it and snake the batteries in and out underneath it 😠. All working now. Now the wife wants me to go shopping for a laptop that the boy can use for college.

johnnydoom If that battery would not jump through, or take a charge, did you check the alternator?
Unless the battery is 'out of date', or close to it, I always check the alternator for possibly being the cause of failure. It can kill a new battery real fast. Just sayin'. 😉

You can check the alternator at home. Disconnect both battery cables after starting the vehicle. If it keeps running, you are good to go. If it dies, well......$$$.

Hoping to actually get Tuesday league in tonight, but looks iffy. Been rained out and rained on pretty much every Tuesday. We are on week 12 and have had decent weather once or twice. At least our course is not under water and closed like a few around here.

Par4QC I didn’t, but the reason is that I drove it 1100 miles, then a little around town, and then literally parked it and forgot about it for eight months, including the bitterly cold month of February. 🤦‍♂️ I let it sit and then freeze without any use and I’m pretty sure that killed it. Don’t know how good the charging system is (particularly now), but it got me all the way from New Mexico last year.

Par4QC Yeah. It was not needed (my dad left it behind) and I’m just saving it for my daughter (turns 15 and can get a permit in two months). Needless to say, I’ll try to remember and run it a time or two every week rather than flushing more cabbage on batteries.

johnnydoom I've been lucky, when it comes to batteries, in my life. There's an Interstate Battery store in West Chester who sells NEW blems. Nothing wrong with them except maybe a scratch from shipping and the likes. Some you can't even tell they're blems. Never paid more than $40 for an auto battery for myself, family or friends, in my life except for once. 1 morning at 4ish AM, my wife's was dead and she had to be somewhere by a certain time and had to leave then, no exceptions, so I bought one at Walmart. Never owned or was told of one of the ones from Interstate dying or having any issues either. 🤞

Way too many relays and modules that draw a small amount of power. You’ve either got to drive them every week or leave a battery tender on it.

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Spent $1800 for 12 x 16 deck rails and 2, 8' stair rails.
May have to come out of retirement.

colej There should be another way, pull the Ignition Off Draw fuse. That should be the captured fuse in the under hood fuse box.
Not sure that every vehicle has one. Pulling that out so it doesn't make contact and drain the batteries for either transport, or long term storage.
