No rush today so dog walk was later than normal. Didn't help me, biting wind, and forgot my gloves. Home for lunch and a quick shower (mainly to heat my hands up) then off to golf, 4ball matchplay, 2 down early then wins at 8 and 9 to turn level. Went 1 down a couple of times after that but got it back every time, until the 18th, halved hole and a loss 1 down.
Apart from the cold cold wind, rain for the last 6 holes, and the last 3 played in ever enclosing darkness, enjoyed it immensely. Hit 11/13 fairways (one of the misses I cut a dogleg and was 3 yards short of the green), 4 out of 5 par 3 greens hit, iron play was way more consistent than recent rounds - and this was my first round off turf in around 4 months. Shame about the putting but the greens are still aerated and full of sand so not losing any sleep over only 1 birdie. Yet ...
