Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Work half a day. Play 18 the second half. Gonna be hot, but the course ought to be magnificent with the heavy rains we had last Friday and Monday. Everything should be fully grown in🙂.

Finished regripping a set of classics that a friend will be using for his first round of golf (9 hole par 3 - we will warm up before the round but I hope he can keep it moving).

Cost me more for grips - I think I got the Perfect Club and Hogan for $1 each at a rummage sale and the Eye 2's for $5 total (including the 4-iron but figured a beginner didn't need that club) at a neighbor's garage sale. Wasn't smooth sailing though. Whoever had the Eye 2's hadn't regripped in years. They weren't GP Victory but it took a ton of effort to remove them.

I'll throw a putter in there too later. 😁

I still own 3 of those Perfect Clubs (the 21 degree original). One STAYS in my bag. It's the only club I've ever consistently kept for years. They actually work.

Steve, I've never seen or hit a Perfect Club, but the concept has always interested me. What "gap" does your
21* fill in you bag? Does it take the place of a hybrid of the same loft? A high-lofted wood, like a 9 wood?

It's a short shafted, heavy headed offset hybrid/fairway wood. It fills between 5w and 27 degree hybrid. It's useful out of sand and rough too. Pretty versatile.

It sounds very much like a 'Callaway Heavenwood' (20* head and 5w length). Great club BTW.

Went an extremely crappy 64 through the first 11 holes. Then made 5 straight pars and lipped out a 6 footer that would’ve made it 6. Lousy score, but for a third of the round I felt like I could play.

Played 18, on what I thought was going to be a soggy course; surprisingly, it was not. Found a driver with a center to it's face also. Nice to feel the 'smoosh' of a ball after 3 rounds of heel shots. Amazing what 1/2" of length can do for a person. 😂 10 FW hit, 79, just pars/bogies. Felt good again. I probably need blades now. And a 2 iron.

we visited a brewery in Mt. Vernon Ohio while on our golf trip. It’s called Stein Brewing company. First class outfit all the way. The building/facility, the food, and most importantly the beers were all awesome.
