Been up all night on pipe duty. Not the good kind.
Weather is starting to return to normal in Texas, and I've hung out all night to ensure if the pipes burst, I'm ready to go out with my "T" tool and shut the water off at the meter. Will have to sleep at some point so trusting kids and wife to wake me if something bursts.
This is the supposed danger zone for pipes busting. It's a theme of local newscasts which I've been watching throughout this ordeal. All of them are reporting more pipes are going to burst as the temperature warms. We've dripped our faucets for days (don't want to see that next water bill) and hope as it rises above freezing today the water works with no issues.
