Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Spuzz I keep playing the old stuff - seems to work for me. Tried a 455 a while back - it was long, but I couldn’t keep it in the fairway. Sold it off.

Still have the DB+ in my spare bag with my AF460 plus an Ashton X-1, 02, Spectrum and sweetheart Nemesis, Bang BOM.
No desire to even try any of the new heads.

Spuzz l like my Spectrum - I get it out every once in a while. Been interested in the new GW drivers, but then I remember all the good drivers I already have & talk myself out of a new driver, LOL.

SWMBO and I along with the SIL and 2 grandsons took the kayaks out to our local reservoir. Evening paddles are awesome!

You have shown us pics of your pool. It looks wonderful. Why do you not want to get into it on a hot day with a cold beer?

johnnydoom Maybe try to squeeze in a stop along the Robert Trent Jones Trail on the way - I’ve never played any of them even though some are within 3 hours drive from home.

Prattville is the most likely place we would stop. Given that I’m a bogey shooter at best most of the time I was thinking The Judge might be out of my league even from shorter tees. It’s 2 points higher in slope from the white tees (5900 yards) than the course I played two days ago from the blue tees (6300 yards, shot 87 after a horrendous 3 hole stretch), so maybe I could enjoy it if I’m playing ok.

The toughest course I have played in the 53 years that I have been playing.

Played with Hobbit, Squidward (callmeal), Headcover, Spartan, Jamz, Jonathon, and I can't remember who else in April of 2004.
Golfers I have been friends with for going on close to 20 years.

The Judge is out of most guy’s league, mine included. But if going to Prattville that’s the one I’d play. All 3 are very nice. Senator is a links style that the LPGA used to play. Legislator is kind of a Jr Judge, but very nice and tough. You’ll have a good time no matter which you pick.

My Dad and I took an annual golf trip to Prattville for probably 10 years until the drive/ride became too long for him. We really enjoyed the courses and the area.

I still suck at golf. 2 birdies but I can’t even play bogey golf at this point.

Ranges in Massachusetts got the ok to open. I planned on 18 but I’m going to hit the range, play 9, hit the range and practice area again. After that, come home and float around in the pool. Pick up dog poop too.

Played twice this weekend. 88 and 82 so the game was better. Sadly with the 88 I was 1 stroke out of the money on Saturday and I won the same amount of $0 with an 82 on Sunday. Third time this season that I've shot an 82 sporting an 18 and won absolutely nothing. I feel like I'm doing a good job of sandbagging, but I'm clearly not 😉

Got a lot done around the house too. Working all this week and then I have 2 weeks of furlough.

garyt1957 Yeah as Spuzz notes, it's all in the timing. I would have won money on Saturday with an 86 or 87, but nothing on Sunday with an 82. Meanwhile my buddy has been racking up skins money shooting 105 with a 26. He always manages to par or birdie a tough par 4 getting 2 strokes. I do have a few bucks this year, but they actually came from just okay rounds.

In one Northern Storm event, I won longest putt (with a hickory shafted putter) and the long drive (Golfsmith 1K driver) and shot a smoove 96.

and this infamous picture of my Skins winnings in the early days of the event was due to a birdie on the hardest Par 4 on the course. Putted downhill and fast from behind the hole off the fringe and banged it in off the flag.
I think I shot 85.
