Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Just had a couple of buddies over in the backyard. Had a fire, a few oat sodas and a nice Rocky Patel cigar. About 38° outside so the fire was nice.

Last official day of work for this year. 10 day weather forecast is teetering on the edge of ok golf weather so it'll be a wait-and-see sort of thing. Got my mini pedal exerciser in last night and assembled it. Went 20 minutes on a lower setting this morning without issue and will gradually work my way up to some level of aerobic stress over the next couple of weeks. Hope to be doubling the time to 40 minutes at a higher level. Just going to be checking and reacting to any emails that come my way today, which will probably be few if any. May be able to take a lunch break with the wife or play a game of chess with the kids today. Will probably watch Scrooge sometime tonight after church. That 1951 version of A Christmas Carol is my favorite and I usually watch it every year just prior to Christmas.

never was a fan of the Sim version , too dark but I suppose that means they did it right.

I like Bill Murray and Scrooge McDuck versions best 🙂

Scrooged gets watched at least on e every Holiday season here

Watched both versions today and definitely have to go with Alastair Sim and the 1951 film.

I actually haven't watched Scrooged. I'm so much of a fan of the Sim's version I hardly want to watch any others. I remember going to see the Muppet version in the theater when it came out and enjoying it very much and I've seen a few stage versions that I liked. I have only seen bits and pieces of the George C. Scott, Patrick Stewart, or Jim Carrey versions, and I like some of the other works by those actors. I'm just too fond of the 1951 version. It was the first one I saw as a child in a theater Saturday matinee sometime around 1971, and it has biased me against any other movie version. I do need to make it a point to see Scrooged though since I guess it is not a period piece and should be uniquely different.

Shipped some putters out this morning, casually working my day job because everyone else is on PTO and watching the winter ‘storm’ come in. Guess we might end up with a white Christmas after all! Oh, wait for several packages to be delivered today as well.

After getting home, eating, watching some more hoop on the tube I nodded off for a couple hours and forgot to post the varsity results.

Varsity girls had a tough one. Fell behind 7 at the half, but battled back for an 8 point win. Marilyn Popplewell is a fricken WARRIOR!!!
