Optional competition at the golf club today, and conditions were too nice not to give it a go... (A bit on the chilly side (mid-40s), but dry and very little wind makes that pretty good golfing weather at this time of year.) It ended up being a surprisingly good day - drove it well, hit a lot of very good approach shots and made some putts (helped by the condition of the greens - rolling very nicely, having recovered from being tined about 6 weeks back), and ended up with a level par 68, my best competitive round for quite a few years.
(It was also my first competitive round under the new World Handicap System, as the UK switched over at the start of this week - looks like I'll end up getting a pretty sizeable reduction after this...)
