sdandrea1 Spartan Took about a 90 minutes including going back home. At my DMV in VA, 90 minutes would call for a celebration. Out to dinner, party...... something!
Bravopilot sdandrea1 You use VA DMV? Prior to retirement? I found them to be fast and most stuff is online. Went to New Mexico MN and they are very fast but cost more than VA for Disable Hangtag.
Rickochet sdandrea1 At my DMV in VA, 90 minutes would call for a celebration. Out to dinner, party...... something! I renewed my license online in KY last year. They have your old license on file and snag your old pic and mail you the new one which is good for 4 years. I will have to go to an office next time for a new mug shot.
Par4QC Spartan Mine took under 5 minutes. Being a good lil boy, I was allowed to do it online. I got a younger looking pic than current situation also; they used the one on file from last time. I should have said same pic.......🤔 I've never looked young. Even when I was.
Spartan Par4QC Unfortunately, drivers license renewal is not an online option in Missouri. In any case, I was converting to a Real ID so I had to provide additional documentation. License plate renewal can be done online. I've done that in the past.
Typhoon sdandrea1 Figured out how to send and receive $ using ZELLE. Watch out with Zelle… on the local news here a bunch of people using Zelle had their Bank of America accounts emptied. I think it was resolved after a few days but I hear nothing good about Zelle.
sdandrea1 Bravopilot Haven't been in one since 2015, so I'm glad to hear they've established some efficiency. It used to be a dreadful experience.
LBlack14 Took the day off. School's closed, the Mrs. is off, her and Pay gonna make some kinda tuna slop for lunch, I think. Taking Shithead to a new groomer this morning. Our old one lost her business as a result of the last deep freeze.
garyt1957 Rickochet. They do all appointments at my Secretary of State office now. You'll still wait some but it's less than an hour
Walterjn Heading to the course to see what I'm doing there today... After that, go help a friend with her horse trailer. There is some problem with the batteries not staying charged. They seem to last 3 days, then Nothing. It's really bad as she just bought the batteries last year.
fatshot Sitting here watching it snow like hell right now.....Most of what we had last week (about 2 inches) had melted yesterday, but this one is forecast to be more significant (4-8 inches in the forecast). Supposed to keep it up all day and taper off by evening. It looks heavy and wet. I'll be snow-blowing tomorrow..... ☹
FauxAmish Waiting on a small package and experiencing what Richochet went through a couple years ago. Item is being delivered by ups sure-post and is scheduled for delivery today. Two days ago it was at a carrier facility in Fort Wayne which is right next door to the city I live in. That day it was sent to Lexington, Ky and then arrived this morning back in Fort Wayne, In. Wondering now where they might send it. 🤬
johnnydoom FauxAmish I often wonder if the package is actually traveling back away from the destination in those instances, or if there is some tracking software algorithm that throws in extra travel whenever a delivery isn't on time while the package actually sits at the distribution point waiting for more packages to fill the local delivery truck.
Spartan FauxAmish I had a package containing a perishable item that was within 15 miles of here in two days. Then it got sent to New York where it sat for a week. It went in the trash when it finally arrived.
Ynotgolf I remember when my son moved to California. We drove out from Pa.and I flew back. Anyway he needed to get his licenses changed. Had a prearranged roommate in TustIn. He found out where the closest DMV was. It was in Santa Ana. We went there and there were long lines. A person that was setting at a desk off to the side came up to us giving a funny look and asked what were we doing there? After we looked around we figured it out. He took us to the side and did all the paperwork for us. Nice guy. Bad location. That was over 20 years ago, can't imagine what it might be like now.
Par4QC Shoveled 3" off driveway. Cleaned off vehicles also. Well, 20" where the damn city plow threw it into the drive entrance. Sawed up a few aluminum plates. Do grinding/sanding later.
