A few weeks ago I was at a store and went around back of our Highlander to open the rear glass back window. It had some slush on it and as raised it to full open and let go the sumbich fell down and whacked me on the bridge of my nose. Shit that hurt. I ordered new gas struts from Amazon. Today I pulled the SUV into the center of the garage, opened the flipper window and tied it to the garage door opener railing with a rope ratchet and secured it. With a small screw driver I pried the clips up from each strut end and popped on the new ones. I was surprised how easily the old ones came off being 11 years old and how easy to the new ones went on. The window works great now. AND, I did not draw any blood. My wife thought I was bull shitting her when I told her that. The old geezer gets a win for the day. 😛

Went to the chiropractor today....I've just been feeling stiff and sore a lot lately, whether I'm sitting or exercising.
So I get in there and he probes around a little on my lower back, has me turn over on my side, brings my knee
up to my chest, tugs on my opposite arm, pushes on the back of my leg with his knee, and with one hard shove,
my back cracked in 3 or 4 places.....sounded like a gun going off! Feeling better already!

This sounds very similar to the treatment I receive from my chiropractor. My lower back gets out of alignment and results in general tightness to various levels of pain. I go to him he puts me on my stomach and pops the upper spine. Then turns me on each side kind of like in the fetal position, puts a knee up on my lower side and yanks a few times and can feel the pops and the pressure relief. That puts everything back in proper order. I go back about every two months to keep things from getting to far out of adjustment. My treatment takes about 3 minutes.

Rickochet Yep....my guy calls it the "posture side adjustment." He tells me if I'm ever out of town
and in need a chiropractor, to call and ask if the local guy does that adjustment. I should start doing the every other month thing as well, instead of waiting until I feel so stiff and sore. Lesson learned!

Today was kinda a lazy day. Monday I hauled 5from Newbury Park to thermal, then the trailer to Del Mar. Tuesday, I hauled a pony to Carson City. Stayed the night at the boss's New place up there. Wednesday I hauled one from from Carson City to Del Mar, then I drove to the boss's place here for the night. Today was the first day I didn't wake up at 3am...

Vacation day. Too cold for golf I think.

Got a text first thing this morning from my daughter at Disney World with pictures of her posing with Guy Fieri (the spiky haired Food Network guy). It's funny because as she was packing she included one of the fire style shirts like he wears and said maybe I'll get to meet him. I told her he probably owns a restaurant down there and it's always a possibility (turns out he owns at least two). She went to Planet Hollywood with her friends and he was there. Too bad she wasn't wearing the shirt, but she did get to meet him.

Now to figure out what I want to do today. Haven't gotten beyond bacon and eggs for breakfast.

Changed my mind. Not too cold for golf. Going to head to the local 9-hole goat ranch after 10:00.

WFH, but it's at least 50 out already and I'm contemplating hitting balls. Spent 5 hours straight being audited/grilled by a potential customer yesterday and I'm in need of mindless activity.
