Par4QC Had 12 o'clock reservations, and arrived 20 minutes early. Saw a 4some on the 1st tee dicking around. Sat and watched them, for 15 minutes, and noticed there was 2 more 4somes waiting behind them. Then, a 2some got in line, then another 2some. 7 yr. old kids, women, girls, old men/women. WTF?
Dude, this is the shit I talk about at our course. I watch it go out all day. Other than my wife not letting me out anyway, I really don’t miss not playing because I look at that shit golf all day everyday and have no desire to play behind it. I say to the other guys in the shop, how can this be fun for anyone? How can a person who paid and it getting ready to go out see this and NOT want to just not go out to play? I apologize to some groups because you can see the look of defeat on their face when they watch group after group whiff, hit it 2 feet, hit 3 balls dead right into the trees and then go look for it...
Had 2 young teens come up today and I said, do you have a tee time? They said “what’s a tee time?” But it was a good conversation. One I wish more people would do. They said, “ we have questions “. They thought you paid by the month to play, I told them no but we do have memberships. I told them about the driving range, how much it was ( which they liked), the fact that they could use clubs from up there and just hit balls as hard as they could. I told them to start there and that it’s actually more fun than playing. Also there are golf clinics they can ask about that are inexpensive. They were very thankful for me answering their questions. Again, that was awesome, it’s too bad more people that are much older and supposedly smarter didn’t think that way.
