Well, I ended up going to Lowes for some drain cleaner that that my local Ace hardware manager recommended but he was out of it. Lowes showed 5 in stock. I drove across town to our only Lowes and guess what? They didn't have a single fucking one. How nice. The end to a perfect day. Shit. 😡

Nobody works a poop shovel like me. Plus how to strategically load the shovel doing the soft pieces last that tend to stick to the front of the shovel to stop the hard pieces from rolling off. I should do YouTube videos… it’d go viral, I’d have a TV show.

Wife's on a mission to take down and put away all the Christmas decor, inside and out. I've learned over the years, esp. since the kids are grown and left home, that this is her standard M.O......get 'em out and up early, then take 'em
down as soon as it's over. The last of the kids left yesterday, so I could have predicted it. Oh well, once New Years
comes I won't be interrupted from watching football.....

Rickochet Never used one but have seen videos of the rubber bladder type drain openers. Harbor Freight has 2 sizes under $10.00. They are a rubber bladder that you hook to a water hose. They expand for a tight fit and your water pressure flushes out the clog.

The sink is directly above my wife's office downstairs with lots of electronic stuff. Too much risk of water damage if there is a blow out.

Ynotgolf works pretty good too... Depending on the clog, I have found that sometimes it's a good thing to be able to move that bladder back and forth to get a better attack at the clog...

I just had a brain fart. In the drain line in the basement is a Fernco rubber coupling on the 2" drain line that was used years ago when a plumber augured out the line. The clog point was about 20' away in some elbows. Tomorrow I will adapt my wet vac 2" hose to the drain line and suck that sumbich out. MacGyver will get it done.

35 years ago I finished my basement and the only way to keep a bare drain line from showing below the dropped ceiling was to turn it down next to the HVAC race with two 90° elbows. I can get to the els from about 15' in both directions from under the sink and in my downstairs utility room. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time this has clogged in 35 years so it isn't that bad.
