darpar Just finished calibrating the surround sound speakers on my new Denon AV receiver. Kind of cool how they do it now, it came with a Audyssey mic that you move to different parts of the room, and each speaker gets calibrated. Sounds great now!🔊
Walterjn A few days ago I started my Christmas gift project. More Christmas ornaments as gifts, bells again this year. So far most of this is olive wood, I do have some redwood burl as well. I figure I have just over a week to crank out 30 of these things.
Rickochet I did my last mowing/leaf mulching today. I don't remember ever mowing this late in December but my pear trees were really late dropping their leaves this year and even after a summer drought my grass is still growing some so after doing the leafy areas I ended up mowing the whole yard. It wasn't the 54° forecasted but 47° with a chilly wind. Rain tomorrow so I had to get it done. People drove by giving me funny looks after seeing an old geezer out mowing his yard on a cold day in December.

johnnydoom Just got back from Zoo Lights at the Memphis Zoo. Really cool exhibit of Christmas lights along with a few of the animal exhibits being open. Got out of there just before the rain started and the drove 40 minutes home in a hard driving rain. Good couple hours with the family outside.
Typhoon johnnydoom What’s with Zoo lights and rain? We went to our zoo lights at Stone Zoo last year and it rained. This year we have tickets for Saturday and it’s gonna rain. Going anyway, Nick’s girlfriend will be with us from Texas and Jesse and his wife are coming too.

Typhoon Wicked cold today… 5 degrees🤬. Already sick of winter. Dropped 2 dogs off at the groomer so I’ll pick them up in a few hours. Cleared a dusting of snow, frozen poop detail. Just don’t want to do anything… too cold. Maybe the gym amd indoor golf later

Walterjn This morning I get to run errands for the boss as she is out of town for another week, deposit some checks that have been received via USPS. Then run back up to the barn and get some hay for the horses. After that back home to work on more ornaments... Other than that I am in a holding pattern as to what I have going on... I MIGHT be making a trip to Carson City with 5 on Monday. Hopefully I get enough advanced notice that I can drain and refill the radiator and pick up some anti gel for the fuel. Aluminum fuel tank is now making me a little bit nervous as to fuel gelling on me. I really don't want to screw up any injectors on my beastie...
Typhoon Walterjn Always good to have plenty extra anti gel for any unexpected cold. I remember our trucks at work being froze up and I had to run all over the place looking for the stuff and nobody had it.
johnnydoom The rain continues here. 10 day forecast shows it going away for awhile, but it takes a serious turn towards winter temperatures at the same time 😞. Looks like any possible golf won't be until after Christmas. Just work today. Get to drive the van, pick up senior citizens at the retirement home and take them to and from the church tonight. Had oatmeal for breakfast. About to make sausage and eggs for lunch. Then back to work for a few hours.
Par4QC johnnydoom Got that weather here also. Rained all day yesterday with a 30-40mph wind, and cold. Still nasty out today, but a lot warmer, less wind. Next week is showing highs only in the mid teens, and snow. 😡BAH, humbug!
