The_Vinman Weirfan i see some options but not what was actually decided on, unless im missing something. will miss seeing you as well sir , hopefully if the world doesnt end this fall everyone can get back together next Sept π
customgolfcenter Since this is now virtual, can I play my rounds virtually as well - meaning on my indoor SkyTrak simulator with The Golf Club 2019? π I actually haven't swung a club since DS last year since I tore my rotator cuff in Oct and then had surgery in Dec, and I'm still nursing it back to full strength. So I'm sure my scores would be terrible anyway, whether on a real course or indoors.
Weirfan customgolfcenter such a young guy to have that . Many of my former High School and University athletic team members have had, hip, knee or shoulders done but they are all much older than you are. My brother who was a competitive bodybuilder has had both hips done. My competitive powerlifting and oLympic lifting days probably took a toll , one hip is starting to feel wonky and 1 shoulder ( thats probably from playing 50 years of baseball and softball though) so far surgery free ...touch wood. heal up buddy and we'll see you next year....don't need any more excuses
hobbit customgolfcenter Bummer, I've heard that takes a long time to fully recover from. Please let me know if you plan to join us for any rounds, I need to plan accordingly.
hobbit The_Vinman so for those of us in AZ for rounds, where are we playing for the 3 days ? Still TBD, things are very fluid right now. I'll update here as soon as I get things setup.
Mattyv hobbit Just make everyone happy and set up the Saturday morning round at Red Mountain Ranch.π€£ you can do Las Sendas for the afternoon round.
jrock @hobbit don't want to make things harder on you with the virtual component. I'm also fine eliminating the competition part of it and keeping things simple: Play a round on whatever course you like (or indoors) Make a post about your round (and tell us a story!) Have a drink of your choice and tell us about that too π My only goal is for Buzzers to play a (virtual) round together and share some good times.
hobbit jrock Well we will definitely need to change the format... because I'm a fool. How did I think we were going to play best ball with different courses??? π€£ π€£ It will be net scoring - Beat Your Handicap! Or be beaten by your handicap, which ever happens that day!
Weirfan hobbit figured you were not going to do hole by hole but still have teams and use low net combined score ? I suggest you implement the 75% of handicap factor as we do at DS
jrock hobbit sounds good. If we can get all the details nailed down, I'm happy to send out an email blast inviting all to join. Let me know when we are ready!
hobbit jrock Ya, I may need help with the Zoom invite as I do not necessarily want to post it this publicly.
jrock hobbit Ya, I may need help with the Zoom invite as I do not necessarily want to post it this publicly. No worries, I have a Zoom account we can use. Just need a date/time for the after party.
hobbit For those in Phoenix for the Saturday round: 1) Preference for a repeat from last year, but economical, Golf Club of Estrella round? 2) A favorite but more expensive We-Ko-Pa? 3) Or something in between? (Boulders, Talking Stick, etc.)
Mattyv hobbit I would vote for something maybe a little more central. Estrella is an hour drive if the freeway is open for me. I would still play if that is the vote.
JIMENGAZ1 hobbit Put me in for the Saturday virtual round I play menβs club that day. Just need a partner
