The Rescheduled 2020 Masters Dates Announced
Champions Dinner with N95’s all around.
So, TW says he was more than ready for The Masters. Even been bike riding, feeling great. Does the extra time off help him, more than it will hurt the others? Maybe we will see Jack's record tied this year. 3 for 3???
He's got what, 4 more majors left in him? 6 at the most?
He above everyone else knows the deal after a long layoff. It doesn't take long for him to get his swing in shape. Getting his short game and feel back with the putter are his biggest objectives. But he's obviously limited with how much he can practice and go at it like it used to. The time off isn't a big deal. He's used to this.
What is hurting him is that he's been forced to miss majors, given his limited window, while time carries on. The dates have been established by ANGC, but it's not a guarantee that it'll happen. It probably will, but he's dealing with an even more condensed time crunch given that he's historically prepared for the majors with playing certain tournaments leading up to them. He doesn't have that luxury this year.
Of course, every other player has that same preparation crunch, but most of the usual 'favorites' are relatively healthy and younger. They can jump back in full steam ahead. Tiger? Not so much.

PA-PLAYA He's been playing/practicing, with his son Charlie. 2 things to remember, he lives on/near the course, and also has his backyard set up with several holes. He just doesn't need the prep the others do, for the reason you stated, his age & health. He's got the mindset others will never have; saw that when he won with a 'broken' leg, lol. He doesn't have to 'force' things, like the others. Pressure is all on them, now, and until he retires. Even if they say not, we should know better. I think that was why he won last year's Masters. 2 players shit the bed, on the same hole, in his group. Still unbelievable. To them, not us.
If you think about that kid of his, Charlie, and what he is getting right now, having TW at home, healthy enough to go out and play together... If he has a lot of natural ability to begin with, and gets the same mindset as his Dad, perhaps he may be the 'next Tiger Woods' everyone has been looking for. If it ain't this kid, there won't be one.
Charlie would have some enormous pressure on him. He could very well become a great tour pro, win 4-5 majors, and not come near his father's dominance.
Tiger was/still is Jordan in most golf fan's minds. He's the first icon that comes to mind when the subject of golf is broached. I don't see that ever changing, because I don't see anyone repeating what he did.
Not even his own son.

Masters in November? That's gonna be weird in many ways. Guess nothing is normal anymore anyway.
sdandrea1 If they revert back to April next year there could be two consecutive majors that are the same tournament on the same course. That’ll be weird, but an opportunity for Tiger or others who favor that course to get two in a row with little in between to challenge their state of mind, physical preparedness, or shot specific practice for the course.
Average daytime highs in April is mid-70's, compared to mid-60's in November. About 5-6º difference in overnight lows. Rainfall percentages are about the same. In theory, this is probably as close to identical playing conditions as they could get with such a lengthy postponement. The ball won't carry as far, which might have players second guessing club selection on approaches, some will be more disconcerting than others... (like the par3 12th).
Other than that, I doubt we'll see players wearing short sleeves.
I wonder if they'll continue the traditional Wednesday par3 contest... I'm guessing it will go per usual.
Anyone else besides me watch the final round replay today on CBS?
I was doing fine without televised golf until I started watching that today. Damn you, COVID-19!
I really do hope they can safely get it in this November, and I hope that it's safe for the fans to return. I dare say that otherwise it wouldn't be safe for the players if it's not safe for the fans. But we are talking about Georgia.
Imagine if they’d gone on with the Master’s this week without fans in attendance.
Took this pic while watching the replay. Tiger’s on the 11th green. Thousands watching from the 12th tee.

It doesn't snow in Augusta.......the committee doesn't allow it.
