So maybe it's just a " getting old" thing but over the last month my right thumb pad, not the actual thumb itself is swollen and aches. It's limited my range of motion and I can't put any pressure on it like doing push ups. I've had a similar pain in my last hand for a long time but it's not as bad. I do have limited range with that hand as well doing a push up.
It doesn't hurt when I swing a club or hit balls. I wonder if the new pain is from hitting balls off the mats this winter indoors. Thumb also hurst if I move it in a circular motion.
