Taki27 shokosugi after you get a chance to hit the KE4, let us know how it compared to the STW2 please.
Played one round and one range session with the KE4TC. My gamer is a Callaway Mavrik SZ.
KE4 - looks and feels great - not quite as muted as my mavrik but close. Seems to be a lower spinning head like the mavrik SZ. On center strikes its long and I hit some bombs. If I was a better ball striker, I could game this. Unfortunately, I am not and I need forgiveness and the forgiveness is night and day compared to the mavrik. I have been gaming the mavrik a long time so I know how far my misses will go and it was clear on a few of my misses with the KE4 that they weren't nearly as long as the mavrik. Case in point, hit a decent drive (I thought), a bit high on the face with a fade, started out left side of the fairway and ended on the right - a common miss for me. When I go to find my ball, I figured it should have gone about 240-250 yards but it only went 200 yards - I was shocked and thought maybe something happened to the driver. I bombed it 280 on the next hole so all was good with respect to its integrity but not the forgiveness. In terms of max distance, perfect strikes, more time would be needed to see if it could keep up with the mavrik but I think it could if I got it dialed in. Forgiveness a whole other story and why I will not be keeping this driver. Based on the small sample size, mishits did not seem to go as far as my mavrik on several occasions. Of course, I am not a robot so maybe my mishits were slightly worse than normal that day who knows but at first glance, I would have to say the KE4 TC is less forgiving than the mavrik SZ with similar if not slightly less distance than the mavrik SZ. I have a fairly high swing speed at about 110 mph so lower ss may not notice much difference and you can't go wrong with the price, especially if you can grab a used one.
Compared to the STW2...I loved the STW2. I loved the looks, feel and sound. I played with it 3 rounds until I cracked it. It was as long or longer than any driver I have ever had with similar forgiveness to the mavrik SZ. I think the face is hotter on the STW2 (or at least mine was) and I was disappointed that the driver cracked. I am have been hesitant to grab another because of this and also from the fact that another person had this happen to them too in a golfworks review.
I have never cracked or caved the face of any club so it could have been a one-off but when reading another person had a similar experience, I don't want to chance it. I could buy a new one with a warranty i guess but I am too cheap to buy new lol.
If I were to choose one of these heads, I'd go with the STW2. It would be nice to have adjustability but I generally play drivers in neutral anyways so the STW2 was fine. I prefer 9 deg and the STW2 was a 10 deg but launch was good and what I like so it was fine. If you need adjustability go with the KE4 otherwise save some money and go with the STW2. If it didnt crack, I would play it in a heartbeat as it checks of all the boxes and then some, but durability is a deal breaker unfortunately
