Typhoon 'Ramrod', homemade...............metal coat hanger straightened out. As soon as the head/adapter is off the shaft, ram it down inside. Make take a couple times to knock it out.
Wait too long, and you will have to drill it & you may push it further up. If so, then jam the rod in again and it will lodge the plug again...drill again. Repeat if necessary. Never a need to damage the grip this way.
