KE4 TC Pro 7w on MPF Pro Fairway shaft R flex
KE4 Tour FDI 4 on Nippon 1150 R flex
Maltby TS3 on Nippon 1150 R flex
The TS3 will be going up against the TS1-IM 8i that I demo'd at end of last year. THE TS3 has a tough road to hoe
A Veritical Groove 11 degree driver with an old Harmon Tour Design CTB shaft, and half-way through a set (3i - pw) of MacGregor MT Pro-C irons with Alpha PT85 R-flex graphite shafts. Epoxy gonna dry over the next two days and then I'll put some grips on them.
VigilanteTrail have you hit these? Thoughts.
Walterjn my golfworks beads say 3-5% by volume. Not sure I get that close at all.
Just put a small pile of beads on a small paper plate. After putting epoxy on the shaft just touch the tip of the shaft at 45° on two sides then put it into the shaft and spin it a couple of turns. Then with a small crease on the edge of the plate you can put the left over beads back in the bottle.

Was able to take them out for a quick 9 holes last Saturday (9 days ago)…only hit the 7i once, 9i twice and the PW once.
Took the first 7 holes for me to adjust to, what I assume, is the heavier weight steel shafts. Haven’t played steel in a few years. I thinned both the 7 iron on #4 and the PW on #7…but the shot results were satisfactory & playable…so the forgiveness is there.
Finally had two flush shots on #8 & #9…both using 9 iron on approach…birdie looks and missed both putts.
Didn’t lose any of the shots left or right so dispersion is going to be money if I were to guess…and the two shots where I had good strikes felt great with good trajectory & spin…
…more feedback on where I was actually striking the ball on the face as compared to when I had the LogicalOne 85S graphite shaft in the demo 8 iron.
I need more playing time with them to provide better review/thoughts on the combo…weather has not been cooperating ever since.
VigilanteTrail I can't do light shaft wise. I have always went with a heavier build 277g 7i and I given up on getting each iron weighted up, so I am transitioning to 8i @ my old 7i weight and same shaft and length. With stronger lofts I am thinking this will get me back into a better spin window that I want. Gonna be interesting as that is what I did with my 7i demo in the ts3?
I'm not building clubs anymore. My bag is all set.
ode so I am transitioning to 8i @ my old 7i weight
8i head in my TS3 set was at 274g when I weighed everything prior to build
