If you're using a heat gun, that's the issue. Too much wasted heat blowing around the adapter and not concentrated onto the point you need it.
A micro torch is best. If yours need filling, that'll help too.
I've never had any issues with a Titleist adapter myself. Being they're all made from aluminum, it's probably something else.
Could be the epoxy, but concentrated heat should make quick work of it.
