Built a Wilson Launchpad Hybrid with a Matrix Kujoh for the Mrs. as a donation to a charity auction for a friend of hers.

I rebuilt my 7 iron after having the head come off on the 3rd tee box last weekend. I'm pretty sure I used JB Weld on this set. This is the 4th club that the epoxy has failed. Luckily, I didn't need it for the rest of the round.

Finally got around to putting together the 0211 (original one) 10.5* driver head I bought from @sdandrea1 with Diamana ahina 70. Once I got over trying to pulverize it and pulling it left, I hit some really nice drives with it.....and fairly long. It reminds me of the Ping G LS Tech that I played for a season plus and really liked. Very similar shape and feel!

ode I still play mine...rotating between 3 similarly feeling shafts. I wonder if I'm leaving a few yards on the table sometimes, but when I'm swing well I'm out there with the younger guys I play with at times so I keep hitting it. I think I like the Fuji Pro XLR8 the best,

backinit I had no range time and went straight to the tee box. First drive was a push. #2 pull, #3 slight pull, #4 slight push, #6 slight pull, #8 pull, #9 pull, and then I calmed down, #11 up the right side of fwy nice baby fade, #14 slightly thin but down the middle, #15 up the right side baby fade = perfect, #16 up the right side, and #18 up the left w/ baby fade . After #1, mostly centered up or slight miss towards the toe. It's not as forgiving as my e722, but good enough. Nice ball flight. We will see re: the left miss, which is no bueno, but shaft / head combo produced a good ball flight, the pulls were just that no low left hooks. #2 was the worst of the lot but playable, all the others were inside the tree line but in the rough, so playable.

        backinit Yes JB Weld epoxy.

I had to saw off extensions where JB Weld was used. There’s only one thing harder to get apart than JB Weld…

16 days and no one has built anything? Been too busy knitting scarves for winter I suppose. 😡

I'm in process of building an old school LD club.
          SMT DB455 8*, on a Harrison Striper S @ 46.5".
Was going with 48", but it would have been taller than me. I hate being laughed at on courses.

It's Fall. Silly season is here!

Built another donation club. A Vertical Groove Driver with an NV 65 shaft, A flex tipped 1/2".

I was ready to give up on my old Orlimar 5 wood recently…..just couldn’t get it high enough in the air to get any distance anymore. So, I had one of these Aldila NVS Orange laying around and decided to install it in the 5 before totally giving up on it. Took it to the range today, and OMG, what a difference. I know it’s a “noodle,” but it seems just right for an old guy like me! The 5 wood is back in the bag…!
