I’m playing my seemingly annual round with my best bud tomorrow so I wanted to get my new Honma TR21 Big LB built. I stopped at GG and picked up some GolfWorks Tour Set epoxy, lead tape, and Golf Pride MId Size Tour Velvet +4.

I built it to 42 1/2 added a few grams of lead tape and set it at 13.5*. I wanted something a bit shorter off the tee but still usable if needed on long par 5 second shots. Went with an Xcalibur Avalon 7 TS.

And no ferrule. Didn’t have one the right size, like the old school Ping look and πŸ’― won’t even notice it looking down

    Jelopster And no ferrule.

So you're testing the old school theory that a ferrule provides stability at the hosel and helps prevent graphite shaft breakage?
Let us old guys know how that works out, long term.

Jelopster ou think a ho like me is gonna keep it long enough to find out?

      LOL
ok short term it is then

Update on the TR21 Big LB. This thing goes like stink. Hit it 2x off the tee and once off the deck. 250-260 off the tee, 240ish off deck. It launches EASY. It did want to go right. My swing was pushing everything right today but this has a bit of cut in it. I’ll re position the lead tape to remove from toe and add to heel and probably loft up to 14 and close the face to square.

I love the feel of this club. It gets up more than any 13.5* club has any business doing

Been working on this little project for a couple of weeks now!
The build part went pretty smooth...but trying to get everything paired
and working right can be a bit of a challenge!

This thing is an absolute blast!
