What did you build today?
Par4QC You've been around golf long enough to know...there is a swing for every budget. You'll find a way to get it around the course. Might be ugly, but hell, it's still golf. Outside, nice weather, buddies.
If nothing else, you can always go in from 50 yds., then putt.
I agree but the big if is if I can swing with no pain. My shoulder is a mess. I get a lot of pain from just doing simple movements. If I can do any kind of swing with no pain I can work with that. If it hurts it's a no go. We will see.
colej Guy I work with has a golf partner that had a stroke. They allow him to use this in the league they are in
Uh, no. Not for me.
Rickochet I really miss it. The last two seasons I tried a bucket of balls on the range and just gave up. This year I am not going to the range, just jump in the cart on the course and go and do what I can. Will pick up and just ride if I start slowing anyone down.
Good on you Rick! Reset your expectations, try to enjoy the camaraderie and hopefully the good shots! Welcome back!
Itās seriously a good way to ease back in..

I have a roll but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I hope is will help my shoulder as I have shit moving around doing snap, crackle and pop and maybe it will limit some motion.

Typhoon Mine came in a roll of 1" x 12" strips. I put some on my shoulder last summer to wear around for the day. They are a pita to put on and having help makes it easier. Your skin has to be squeaky clean or it will come off. I plan to clean the area with alcohol next time with the help of my wife. I have looked everywhere for a thin lightweight compression sleeve for the shoulder but they are all too bulky or restrictive made more for injury recovery than flexible use. Also none come in a 3x. One size fits all never fits. I have some Tommy Copper compression sleeves for my knees that are thin and are wonderful.
Havenāt built this yet but Iām undecided if I should install a double bend shaft or use my mini slant neck. Currently using a spider with a mini slant neck in itā¦.

No building technicallyā¦but rather āmodificationāā¦
Cut down the Alpha C2 forged / @LogicalOne 85S combo to standard length (37ā 7 iron) and made a grip change (wedges included) with some +4 tour velvets instead of Dri-tac 2.0ā¦
I originally built this set to + 1/2ā to try outā¦but have noticed after a few rounds that it is affecting the lie angle too much for my likingā¦toe up and too many balls left of targetā¦so I went back to standard lengthā¦weāll see how this change plays out tomorrow morning starting at 10:21 localā¦may still need to go flat a degree or two but weāll seeā¦baby stepsā¦
Like Bob, I modified the VIP irons just a bit.
Changed out the A flex graphite and installed S flex FST Pro 115 shafts with Lamkin CL grips.
I had a set of those LogicalOne 85S all ready to go, but the FST caught my eye....and memory. Guess I need more heads.
Usually go with 2 flat but haven't touched these yet. But the only time I did play them they wanted to go left(also like Bob). Going to play them again, as is, to see if it was the weak shafts or the lies.

VigilanteTrail so I went back to standard length
Yupā¦good choiceā¦it workedā¦way less balls left today
But I did notice just a tad bit loss of distanceā¦but I donāt care about thatā¦I will take the several more center flushed shots
