Spuzz DonM it lifts the bench Try some counter weighting in the bottom. Maybe build an extra shelf if you have to. My buddy's bench was a heavy cabinet laid on it's side and it was filled with full paint cans and what not. Couldn't budge it whatsoever. Or you could bolt it to the floor?
DonM Spuzz Thanks, all good ideas. I can stock up on softener salt and stack some on the shelves already on there, as a first step.
Rickochet Spuzz Or you could bolt it to the floor? Tapcon concrete screws do a great job and make a minimal size hole in the concrete. 1/4" screws inserted at least one inch into the concrete. Or can you screw it to some studs in the wall?
DonM Rickochet Anchoring to the floor would have the best result. It’s the front of the bench that wants to lift.
candukid I sunk nuts into the concrete. Ones that are self anchoring. I can then set up my machine in the middle of the shop and bend away. Then I unbolt it and put it back in the corner
colej DonM can you anchor the legs of the bench to the concrete? Angle iron cut to 1” lengths could be easily attached to the legs of the bench and then anchored to the floor? Or I’m sure Home Depot or Lowe’s would have some kind of bracket made up for decking applications.
DonM colej Yeah, that seems very do-able. You are right, there are various construction tie pieces that would work. Even simple angle pieces would do it.

fatshot I found a whole set of graphite iron shafts (Cobra Fly-Z) that I had stuffed in a box with 3 'like-new' Lamkin grips on them! The second time that's happened in the last year (I need to clean up my workshot more often!!). I blew the grips off.....now I may have to order a set of heads to build something!!! 😁 😁
DonM I hit the 37" Pinhawk 25 degree 5H a couple-three times on the course today. It appears to fly about as high as my 38", 31 degree 6 iron, but the distance of a 5 iron. So that's pretty good.
