For sure, the televised coverage does absolutely nothing to help mask the pace problem on tour. It's almost like they want the viewers to realize how difficult the game is, how much thought and subsequent delay is required on any given shot.
One could almost argue that if these network analysts were better at their jobs - we wouldn't be so quick to recognize that it takes these guys 5.5 hours to complete a round of golf on the weekends.
But that's what they do.
And in the end - there's ultimately no camouflage available to a guy (like JB Holmes) for taking 5 hours and 15 minutes to complete a round of golf, as part of a 3-some, who is a hole-and-a-half behind going into the 72nd on Sunday in one of the last groups.
There's simply no excusing that.
