Some Honma history. https://www.golflink.com/about_5090_honma-golf-history.html
IMO Honma has some of the best quality even today out of the factory as the shafts and heads are mated at factory. I play in my modern 8 club set up....Honma XP-1 10.5 deg. driver460cc Vizard 43 "R", Honma 5 wood 18 deg. fairway, Vizard 53 "R" and Honma XP-1 25 deg. hybrid, Vizard 63 "R". IMO these Honma clubs are as good as anything out there. Go far go straight with slight draw for me. I feel it's the head/shaft mating is perfect. I don't see that performance out of major brand high dollar offerings. XP-1 modern good for seniors with smooth transition/tempo brought out in 2020 and already discounted.
