I had one with the matching hoop wound shaft but sold it and regret doing so. I have searched for my long lost club, but no luck. I'm sad. 😢

This ^ will be my first Minimalist bag this Fall when I get a chance to get out.. I may add a GW.
I haven't carried a bag in ages but this one will be so light, who cares. 🏌

In general, IMO Brits will put in the time to build their golf YT channel. You have to have lots of content to make $$$ on YT with that the subscribers will come. There are some USA YT golf channels just not as many and most are dealing with traditional to modern PGA swing methodology.

Most of the YT Smartphone videos are Indian and I can't understand most of them.

Thanks Scott. Most USA-based OEMs are the same way........equipment marketing seems to be focused on getting average schmucks to buy into the belief that they can buy a PGA game.

I have been playing some of the best golf of my life this last 2 months with an 8-club bag. Index just dropped to 9.1

GTD explains it correctly in this YT video I believe at 3:30 and the rest of the video. That's most of our golf reality.

Played 18 holes today with 6 clubs. 12* driver, 21* FW, 31* hybrid, 39* iron, 56* SW, putter. Carded a 79 with 16 GIRs and 14 fairways hit. Casual round with 2 buds, no bets, no thinking, just fun golf! P.B. Dye course. White tees, 5800 yds, rated at 66.7, slope 133. I may never go back to a full bag. Ho-ing irons is WAY cheaper this way!

Yesterday I carried 5 clubs, no putter:
I only played nine, but shot 3 over. I putted with the 4H. Not as well as with a putter, but surprisingly okay. I had 3 chances for pretty easy up and downs and didn't chip well enough to convert. So that was the biggest factor as it turned out.
I had a lot of fun!

8 clubs the perfect number. 3,5,7,9, irons, driver, fairway wood , sw, lw and putter. I have been using my mac vip irons that are 2 tru 9 and I don’t miss the pw . My 9 is good at 100 and I don’t try to kill any shots inside 100 anyway.

My driver is good for 170 to 215
My Perfect Club is 145 to 170
The 7h covers 115 to 145
The 9i covers 70 to 115
The 56* covers 0 to 70

I'm adding a 48* Cleveland CBX to go to 7 clubs and for more use in the 60 to 100 yd range and around the greens.

Tinker I love thos MAC VIP's. Some of the best feeling irons I have ever had, but playing 2-4 times a year now, finding that sweet feeling is hit or miss. I have had 3 sets of those irons, and managed to keep one.

Anyone have a favorite ultra light or Sunday bag? I'm talking as light as absolutely possible while still being functional, and water resistant.
I've never tried one of the "sack" bags because of dew. I think one would be fine once the dew is gone.

As Mr. Minimalist on GBuzz, as I never carry more than 8 at anytime this year well maybe once I did. My perfect set all Alpha VX 'cept driver 12 deg - 14 deg. driver (if I carry one-might swap out for an Alpha V5 Hi-COR 15 deg. frwy), 19 deg. hy, 25 deg. hy, 32 deg., 41 deg., 46 deg. and 56 deg. Alpha PF-2 SW + putter.

Single strap Jones Players Series 3.0 lbs IMO is the best and long term wear and beautiful Minimalist bag on the market. if you are looking for one wait til Black Friday in Nov. Jones will drop their prices on that day. Keep watching their website.

That's my 2nd choice. if you are going to use a Minimalist set round after round then I'd go with the Jones Players series as it has bit more structure still light and more sturdy and will hold up for years. My Moonlight has some wear from 4 years of use before I got the Jones last year Black Friday.

The Jones Bag has SUCH a great classic look too. The PING is functional but not near as "cool". 😁
