I'm 67 years old with lumbar discectomy, left knee and right shoulder replacement behind me. My swing speed is unknown to me but my lack of youth-like mobility leaves me looking for distance and sustained pain-free golf by trying to create a wide-arc simple, single axis swing.
That being said, I have also experimented (ho'd) vastly both irons and woods. My Cobra F Max is stamped at 11.5 has a senior flex 50g shaft and is my gamer, probably fitting me the best. It launches higher than the old Titleist but rolls less. I bought the Titleist because it was cheap and had a shaft that I liked. It has a lower trajectory and more roll out. I do hit some 10.5 lofted drivers plenty high though.
My driver distance with rollout is ~200 to 215. I hit most any PW ~100, 9i ~120, 7i 140, etc.
My game strengths are driving (typically hit double digit fairways in 18 holes), chipping and putting. I rarely 3 putt. Handicap is 10.5 now. My weakness is ball striking off the grass with clubs between fw metals down to 7 iron......thus the reason for swing experiments. Trying to improve the ball striking on those approach shots.
