My minimalist bag is being sorely tested by my course. It is target golf with several greens way up in the air. And it is summertime soggy. Sometimes a soft 8 iron has no margin for error compared to a basic 9 iron. If I am going to do it right and remain minimal I'll need to make a set of irons with 6 degree gaps. Something like: 56, then 48, 42, 36, 30, 24. Then driver, 5 wood, and putter make 9 clubs. Hmmm.
