Groceries for 2 people at Publix. $194.00. 😮 And we don’t eat hardly any meat, mostly chicken. And will go to little WalMart (just sells groceries) on Sunday for some basics that are cheaper there. 😏
Believe this or not. I dated a girl back in 1977 whose mother spent $20.00 a week on groceries. 😮 Ate at their house frequently.
There was no crap food in their house. Her mother and father met in Europe after WWII. She was European and knew hardship.
I’ll tell you every meal was great. She bought cheap fish like Pollack and cheap cuts of meat. Remember seeing a bone in ham boiling. But cooked it fantastically.
She knew how to stretch a dollar. 💵 lol
