What did you buy this week?

backinit I have a Kobalt 10" slider. Got a Wen roller stand for it. Had them for 2-3 years now, but am getting rid of them. Only used maybe 10 minutes. Bought thinking they would work for what I needed but did not, so they've been collecting dust. Needed this simple setup (no slider) for much better accuracy and to save space. Had/have a HF Chicago Electric for years, but it is finally wearing out after 5000+ cuts, including a lot of 1/2" aluminum lately. I'll give this a full workout later & see what she's made of. Metabo was Hitachi, who started the slider revolution, so we'll see if the QC is still there in all their saws. Made in Maylasia now though.
Picked up another project for myself. Found a sun mountain micro cart for the princely sum of $75.00 on Craigslist. Ad said it needed rear wheels and a new brake cable. Turns out it also needs front wheels, bearings in all four are shot, and the 'tires' are worn out. The guy he got it from ran screws through the rubber and into the whewls to make them stay.
I figured that at that price I can take it apart, and do a full color change to the color I want. Put new wheels, and brake on it along with new grips; it should be better than new. Figure that when it's all said and done I should have a fantastic push cart for under $200.
I'll post pics at some point, both before and after.
Springfield Armory Hellcat 9 mm.
Didn't buy anything but "unbought" several items. A few weeks ago I did a wee ho binge and bought a Honma XP-1 driver from Global and a headcover from Ebay. I also got a set of Honma XP-1 irons. Due to a bad shoulder I couldn't swing these any easier than what I had so I sent them all back. All returns went very smoothly with Ebay vendors and with Global Golf.
Took delivery of a Cally Mack Daddy CB 56° wedge. Did not realize it was that funky full face crap. But, for a song (cheap song, off-key), it'll do.
Q Star Tour Yellow
The first time for yellow golf balls and it was great as the other 3 guys today had traditional white golf balls.

I see more and more people wearing Skechers and swearing they are the most comfortable shoes.

potbunker I wear them all the time, Skechers. But never their golf shoes. I wear their regular shoes while playing. I've found the soles are as good as a no spike shoe for golf, on their (prior years) Afterburn model.
I don't play in mud/rain/early mornings, so they work very well for me.
I've used golf specific shoes in the past but find it sometimes uncomfortable going from 'street' shoes to 'golf' shoes. Fit/feel is never the same.

I have several pairs of Skechers and they are indeed comfortable and light. On a negative note they do not provide good lateral support for an old geezer like me with wobbly knees and bad back. The pull ons I almost step out of and the laced ones I can't seem to lace tight enough. The do have a generous to area. YMMV. I would like to try the new slip-ins but I haven't seen much available on Amazon.

I'm jealous of you not needing golf spikes.

Great info.
Lack of stability would be a negative for me also.
I do not like wearing shoes. The first thing I do when I get home, or any chance I get, is take my shoes off. I wear boat shoes all the time or loafers.
A Skechers store is opening very near me soon and I might try the slip-on's, if I don't add another pair of boat shoes first.

Bought this book on Ebay for about $5 bucks shipped. Been on a Sam Snead kick for some reason lately, and
have been reading several things about him on line and books I already have by him. Now, if I could just
learn to SWING the club like him........
