mulegolf Eguller My Honma XP-1 arrived yesterday. Quick service. I was disappointed in the club. It has scratches and smudges on the top (crown) of the clubhead. I called Global and explained that for a "very good" description I would have accepted a few scratches, etc. on the face or the bottom of the club but I couldn't use the club looking at those scratches every time I set up to hit a drive. The woman I was talking to checked and said that they had one more in stock and we agreed that I would pay for that one and would be refunded for the first one when I returned it. I may have been able to polish out most of the scratches and smudges with glanz wachs and I still may try if the new one isn't better when it arrives. I'll certainly return one of them. As far as pictures, it's not likely as I have never been able to get the pictures from my phone to this site. I guess I don't know how. I may try if I have time but a lot of things are going on here right now and I may not have the time.
backinit mulegolf I stopped buying used clubs online unless I can see pics of exactly what I'm buying. Very good condition shouldn't be sky marks or looking like it's been dragged behind a golf cart.

I haven't purchased anything from GG in many years until last week. Years ago GG had a reputation of if you didn't select "excellent or minty" condition rating it was a crap shoot on what your got. The XP-1 I received yesterday was rated excellent and it was and could have been rated as minty. Did the rep tell you what the rating was on the one they are sending you?
Sparky Picked up a 3-sw set of TM 320 irons at a garage sale. Mainly for the Innovative Graphite Comp35 graphite shafts. Clubs were quite a bit longer than standard, so should make a good set of pullouts.
Rickochet backinit I stopped buying used clubs online unless I can see pics of exactly what I'm buying. I have had great success buying from CallawayPreowned over the years. Most time the clubs are underrated and some have even come still in plastic. Great customer service and return policy as well.
mulegolf Rickochet Did the rep tell you what the rating was on the one they are sending you? She didn't say and on the form she emailed to me it is difficult determine. They list both drivers, the one I'm returning and the one they are replacing it with. It also lists the headcover I ordered. Either the new driver of the headcover are listed as excellent, but I can't tell for sure which one they are referring to. I hope it's the driver but I guess I'll have to wait 'til I see it to be sure.
sdandrea1 mulegolf You were just unlucky. I bought 2, one listed as Excellent (and was MINT), the other listed as Very Good, and I after I cleaned the crown with car wax, it's MINT. I hope your replacement is better!
mulegolf sdandrea1 I should know tomorrow. It looks like it should be here then. I got the headcover yesterday and that looks perfect.
backinit sdandrea1 Steve, let me know how these work for you. One of my buddies is looking for a lowish spinning distance ball. I thought these might work for him.
sdandrea1 backinit Steve, let me know how these work for you. One of my buddies is looking for a lowish spinning distance ball. I thought these might work for him. Will do. This is the replacement for the D2 Feel which was my favorite TF 2-piece ball. Distance ball with soft feel.
sdandrea1 backinit Steve, let me know how these work for you The TF Hammer Control= D2 Feel. Soft feel, good distance. Great value!
fatshot sdandrea1 Will do. This is the replacement for the D2 Feel which was my favorite TF 2-piece ball. Distance ball with soft feel. A great ball for us with lower swing-speeds, IMO.....I still have some D2 Feels left, but have already bought some Hammer Control for when the older version runs out!
johnnydoom A "Theodore Racing" T-shirt for my son Theo. I saw Adam Richman (Man vs. Food) wearing one on an episode and got curious and looked it up. Apparently Theodore Racing is, or was, a Formula One racing team set up by a rich Hong Kong guy named Teddy Yip. Don't know if they still race, but they still sell the merch.
sdandrea1 Just renewed my weekday membership at The Gauntlet. Golf can be reasonable, but it ain't cheap. Time to cut back on the ho-ing and find my swing with what I own.
Typhoon sdandrea1 Time to cut back on the ho-ing and find my swing with what I own. Someone hacked Steves account.
Eguller sdandrea1 Time to cut back on the ho-ing and find my swing with what I own. You’ll probably shoot the same, so….. keep Ho-ing. 🏌️♂️
FauxAmish sdandrea1 Are you talking about the swing that you own or the equipment that you own? If it's the equipment, then you are doomed to an eternal damnation that you can only seek, but nay can achieve. If it is the swing that you already have after so many years of seeking. Then you already know how to handle. Just let it happen. 😎
Subsonic sdandrea1 Holy Sheetz! Your identity has been stolen or dementia has kicked in. Are you stuck in Nigeria by chance?
sdandrea1 Eguller You’ll probably shoot the same, so….. keep Ho-ing. That doesn't save me any $.......
Par4QC Just stole a set of TM Supersteel Burners, 3-PW with brand new Winn DriTac grips. And 2 Snake Eyes Quick Strike hybrids. None looked to be played but a couple rounds. 😉 I passed on the Ping Eye2, 1-9 set, for 140. Just. Too. Ugly.
garyt1957 I guess I don't read this thread much. Opened it up and it went to Dec of 22! Just bought two Knuth 257 drivers. The guy wanted $209 for them. I messaged him that I had no need for two and let me know if he ever split them up. He came back with an offer of both for $109! Total impulse buy but I couldn't turn it down
mulegolf garyt1957 You might like them. I have one and didn't like it at all when I first started hitting it. It tried a couple of different shafts until I put a Fujikura Pro in it. That helped a lot. It still wasn't as long as the TM M2 that was also hitting at the time so I stuck with the M2. I've since moved on from that too (although I still own both of them and a couple fairway woods).
