Typhoon That is a chore I've historically neglected, but no longer do. I had too many walk behind mowers of various types and brands which have lasted between 5 - 8 years or so and I would maybe change the oil once every two or three years. Cause of failure was always one of two, lost compression from wear or seizure from overheating. New one, now a year and a half old, gets an oil change before the season and halfway through the summer. I'm betting it will last much longer that the other have.
