I've had a set of stiff Zelos 7 (78g) in several different heads now and they are "almost" like hitting graphite. They proclaim we can go "steel for life". We'll see.
Typhoon sdandrea1 Nippon steel is unlike any other steel. Feels so good… as close to graphite as you’ll get. Other end of the spectrum is The classic PX… as far from the graphite benefits as possible.
backinit Typhoon I have only hit Project X iron shafts a few times. I didn't care for them. I do remember at the time that if they were the only option in a set of heads that I really liked I felt that I would have to play around with then a bit to find something I could live with..maybe try 5.5 as apposed to 6.0...they just didn't feel like anything else that I've ever hit before. I think the last time I hit them they were in a set of Adams irons.
