Both actually.

There were some pretty bad rock chips that I had to fill and wet sand. You're not gonna get sand marks out by hand!

I have a 6" Dual Action polisher that works pretty well. I also have 3" pads that I use on smaller area's with a battery drill.

LBlack14 card scraper is a piece of thin metal that you use in woodworking to clean up glue joints, finishes, or before sanding to smooth out the wood so you don't need to use so much sandpaper.

Bravopilot they work well removing old finishes and not using sandpaper, except to smooth out the furry wood from when it absorbed water and dried out over the years.
They really work well on the harder woods especially anything with curly grain (grain that goes every which way except straight). It with give you a beautiful finish without sanding.

I splurged. I felt that this is my year for golf and I have zero idea how my body will hold up but my feet are at least going to look good doing it! This just the digital creation I made for some custom Civardi croc golf shoes.

I learned something today and I work on a wood shop. I actually hand sand more than anyone else in the shop because of the control. Everyone goes to a pneumatic sander and then they go to far with it and wonder why.

backinit I prefer to hand sand, mostly for the lack of noise, as most of the time i have the tv on with some show for background noise, or a phone call. Power sanding removes any feel between you and the paper.
