For me personally I never liked the FST 115 A/R but love the FST Pro 115 A/R. The Pro is much softer and being stepless much better "feeling" and easier for my paltry mid-iron speed.

I have never tried the Pro because I am not a fan of stepless shafts. I am going to put a new 115 and a 90 in the NF2 later and compare.

Thanks Scott. Too bad you don't have a FST 90 to show. I don't see a reason why the 90 shouldn't feel as nice as the 115. I am going to recheck my trims and make sure I didn't mess up, then stick them in the Wishons 870ti's. The heads I didn't like 90's in are the same heads I don't like the recoils in. I am getting ready to transplant 8 tomato plants this week. Maybe the recoils would work for those and I would have the highest tech tomato stakes in my neighborhood. 😜

I think it's more the over length 2" playing length that throws everything off plus FST 115 and Pro 115 are 43" blank raw and the FST 90 is 41"

With my swing I tend to like the smoother shafts ie. Recoil 660 SC F2, Wishon S2S Green R/S, FST Pro 115 A/R, Apollo Shadow Lite etal. But also my playing length is closer to std. or slightly over but not 2" like yours IMO this makes a huge difference. IMO you need a stiffer tip shaft or you will not load the shaft properly.....probably why the FST 90 and Recoil 760 didn't work out. FST 115 A/R are tip stiffer than the others. It's why I dislike it and you like it.

BTW....cuz you like wide soled irons/shovels and like high lofted drivers. I am guessing here but think you have a steep angle of attack? Are you a divot taker....deeper divots when turf allows and steep with irons?

BTW I paid $15.45/shaft for the Recoil 660SC so I find them a bargain.

Absolutely high AOA and my divots look like flying squirrels.

I don't know. Maybe Rick does. Most of my market is seniors/ladies and they don't fit in that shaft in general.

I didn't know that there was a new model of the 115. I haven't bought any recently.

Just to throw another perspective in here, I've had great luck with Robin Arthur's Xcaliber shafts, and specifically his TourX 105 iron shafts. Great shaft. Great feel. Launches similarly for me as the FST 125 Pros I was previously using, maybe a touch higher. Weights and launch angles / trajectories may not be spot on for you, but you might look at the lower weights and see how they look. The 105s aren't available right now, but the 85 and 95 versions are.

I don't have the same issues with the FST 90 as I do the lightweight Recoil. I hit the FST 90 straight as a string.

Do you know your mid-iron swing speed and what's really important is your transition time? With video/cell phone you can see your release early-mid-late. You can plug those fitting variables into http://shaftfit.wishongolf.com/shaftfit.asp This hasn't been updated since 2014 but the S2S shafts haven't changed that much since then either. Tom said he is trying to get Diamond Golf UK to update that application. Also look at the shaft profiles on-line or in catalog they really show the difference in the S2S line of shafts.

Then, I would purchase a few of the shafts you think you might fit into and test them on a 7i and find out the best performing shaft for you also consider build out specs as this can change what works for you. Basically this is a fitting session with real world results.

Rickochet I sent Tom Wishon an email asking about the Whites. Because, I have the excel shaft profiling spreadsheet that was around quite a while ago, like pre-2012, and the Wishon S2S profiles from back then are the exact same numbers as in the catalog today.

Yet as you mention, for the past few years it has said that the lower section has been stiffened. So something doesn't add up.

I hope I hear back from Tom on this.

I have the same shafts in my Cobra F Max One Length irons. I've been feeling that I've been 1 club short with all my irons, but didn't know whether it was the shafts or the single length concept, which is new to me. Today, however I hit balls and seemed to be regaining at least some of my normal distances. Could it be b/c today was the FIRST day I've played in temps above 60 degrees??? Thinking back it's been so damned awful around here weather-wise all spring that I've been playing in nothing but cool, damp, soggy, windy conditions. Today was the first time I've hit balls in shirtsleeves, so I'm hoping to see a bit of increase in distance as spring weather gets warmer.....

Got the clarification from Tom Wishon regarding the White shafts. Their profile has been unchanged since day one. The language about the stiffer tip is meant in comparison to the previous ZT High shaft.
