shokosugi That's a fine idea BUT I have nothing to do with Geek any longer. I am doing some side projects as a consultant for an overseas company and have designed two new drivers. One of which is completely over the top design wise. But it makes so much sense you'll wonder why no one has thought of it yet! Maybe they have just never put it in production. All I did, concerning Geek, was advise Rick on questions he had and I have never been contacted or advised Derek since I sold him Geek 4 years ago. Quite frankly, if I still owned Geek I would in all likelihood introduce a Rick Stamey head using his full name to honor his memory. I read that one thread about the 551 head and the reason it became illegal by the USGA pertains to the 'axis ruling in regards to Shaft insertion pertaining to measurement from heel to middle of Shaft at mid point insertion'. This rule went into effect in the early 1900's after someone came out with a center shafted wood when driver heads were like 130cc's. The USGA couldn't explain why this measurement is still in effect as today's drivers are 450cc. I balked as that measurement should be larger since today's heads are 3 + times larger than when the rule went into effect. Also I did not paint the DCT black from blue as it is easier to touch up as Rick stated. It was because it's easier to match up Shafts to a black head. And I never had a paint chip problem as I was the first component company to buy American made paints and sent it to the foundry I was using! I hated Chinese paints. They never matched the international color code charts and looked cheap and chipped easy. Sending the paint over to China was a monumental Chinese government hassle! But with Trumps help I pulled it off! LOL. Just kidding. But it took 4 to 5 months to get it approved. True story. You might get in touch with Derek and tell him the next Geek head should have a symbol or something to honor Rick and his artwork.
