DonM None of the soft balls spin like a tour ball.
I see. No problemo.
You are correct as well.
Part of the compromise for a soft feeling ball is no spin.
I personally do not understand the reasoning of using a soft ball , aside from winter conditions.
In the summer, they are mushy off the driver and you are left feeling you didn't get the most out of a solid drive.
I also think they jump off the putter, and while feeling soft, it's harder to control distance, especially with a putter with a milled face and no insert (mine)

As an aside, a compromise ball like The Velocity is similar.Harder feeling but less spin.
Didn't like that ball at all. Same with the Bridgestone E6.
You can say it's a bit of everything, or, you can say it's missing a bit of everything.
I prefer 3 piece urethane. Most of them spin enough with the short game which is ideal for me, along with the price of course.
