If you have a OTT move (propensity to hit toe of iron) I would definitely steer away from MB's. If on the other hand, you hit from the inside heel to middle impact then MB's would suit you IMO.
I have seen very few courses in my area except for some par 3's that are bunkered in front of green. It takes practice to know how to dial down in loft and hit bump and run/pitch shots with 4i, 5i, 6i etal. It takes imagination and shot making skills not great ball striking IMO. This was golf before American golf became ball played to x yardage. European golf is still played the majority of the time this way.
