DonM If a person reads the stickers on the windows of the Fords, they will soon realize they are NOT a domestic car. Parts come from 3-4 different countries,(typically U.K, U.S, & Mexico) and final assembly is in 2 different countries(usually 2-3 different cities in U.S, or Mexico).....for same models!

SWMBO sold the 1965 C2 Corvette. We had it stored at a classic car dealer for the winter and we got an offer that was too good. She wants a daily driver with modern features in a convertible so...........

Somebody asked about a Mazda6. I have a 2015 model purchased new if anyone has any specific questions. It's a great car. Nothing fancy, but affordable and does everything I need well.

I'm debating whether to get their MaxCare service plan or just skip it. Car still has some warranty left and my brother is a mechanic.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Unless, there are major known flaws in the vehicle you are considering. I.E. If I was buying an older Subaru STi with known engine failure issues and I had to have the car, then warranty might be worthwhile...
