Sparky I know I'll be in the minority, but I like those.

They responded. If I send them the shafts, grips and ferrules, they'll sell me heads for $60 each plus $10 to assemble each. With Aldila NV at $27, most decent grips around $7, I'm over $100/club. That's practically OEMville.

OTOH, if you ordered the stock KBS 90 R flex shafts, w/Lamkin grips, at +1", you could sell them off for profit, and be saving the $10 assembly charge, & lower your initial cost of $60/head. (hint,hint) 😂

You are better off buying the clubs with their parts. Ask them not to install the grips and not to cut the Shafts. Then pull the Shafts and sell the parts off to subsidize the costs.

The question I asked them was what would they charge if I sent them my own shafts grips and ferrules. The answer was $60 per head and $10 for assembly. I showed a possible example using a $27 shaft (assuming its one they don't offer) and a $7 grip they don't offer. Those numbers are correct. I guess what I'm saying is that $60/head is too much. Maltby TS1 is a comparable product (hollow body poon filled distance iron) for $50.

It does hurt when seeing numbers like that. I paid up for the Maltby heads, after several weeks of nutchurning. Voice got squeaky, so figured...wtf...ordered them. 🤣

It is probably me, but I think the font chosen looks cheap. They probably play nice, but only
one of them appeals to my aesthetic. Too bad. Price is pretty good.

I remember building a set of Acer XV Pro. Nice compact head, thinner topline, good performance. $9/head. Its ponderous.

sdandrea1 I looked at the Acer Tour Blades again yesterday. Almost pulled the trigger as I had sold a couple sets of irons there on consignment. Built a set previously, hit a couple of them, then sent them off to my son. Very nice heads, almost like true blades and they played easily. $15/head, but not that bad, and they are worth it.

Check out those Maltby STi2s. I'm playing Monday, and if they shine once again, that will likely be the end of my TS1 set. I know they aren't forged, but at $20 per head they flat out work AND they don't look like shovels.

Well, they aren't TS1/TS2/PTM pretty. But they aren't awful looking.
