I was a HUGE Patriots fan yesterday and have great respect for them. I'm not sure what you're getting at other than trying to backdoor the Eagles into the conversation. Yes, Eagles beat them last year due to illegitimate calls. Pretty sad the NFL changed the rules of the game for the SB. No wonder Bill Belichick was going bonkers on the sideline. He knows the rules better than anyone. Huge respect for Belichick. I know when he goes off he ain't wrong.

Tis true and he is getting older. But, his pedestrian is pretty damn good. And, the Rams do have an excellent defense. Speaking of which, what happened to the defensive MVP? No much dominance there. That ain't Brady. That's a well coached and executing offensive line.

The Rams defense was ranked 19th. They also gave up the highest average YPC in the run game at 5.1. D wasn't very good this year. The issue is the Pats have trash at WR outside of Edelman.

Josh Gordon's absence was felt. Hogan got opportunities that would've been Gordon's and Gordon can make plays on the ball like crazy. He'll get his ring, still.

Interesting with the 2nd biggest market involved with a draw like the Patriots that this happened. The people of New Orleans bailing didn't help, either. The NFL made a MAJOR mistake putting one team in Los Angeles and it put two of them there.

Yup, and his name is Dante Scarnecchia. He's been with the Patriots since 1982 (except for a couple years in the late 1980's). He retired in 2013, but was brought back as offensive line coach in 2016. Since then the offensive line has done a fantastic job protecting Brady.

This has some truth to it. However, except for Randy Moss the Patriots have never had star wide receivers. Brady has made average receivers into pretty good receivers.

I believe the Patriots have 12 draft picks this year, so hopefully they can improve at that position. Also, Kraft is paying for Josh Gordons rehab. I doubt he'll ever play again, but who knows.

Terry Glenn in '96 was last time Pats drafted a WR in the first round. So, no 1st round WR's for Brady save for Moss who came via FA.

Bill Parcells famous line, 'if they want you to cook the dinner then they ought to let you shop for the groceries' was in regards to the Patriots front office wanting to draft Terry Glenn in the first round (7th pick overall I believe) and Parcells wanting to take a defensive player. Kraft sided with the front office and they took Glenn in the first round. Glenn died in a car accident in 2017.

Why is there no complaining about all the bad calls/non calls yesterday, and there were plenty for both sides?

Is it because we like it that way, to be able to play football, during a football game?? Regardless of who is affected by the bad or non calls? Saints should take a lesson here.

This is why you are so dense. Why does a bad or non call have to "affect the outcome" in order to be a bad or non call? There were several....holds, helmet slaps, hands in face, etc.. The worst call, and a legal by-the-books- call, was when the receiver caught the ball and then the defender was flagged for hitting him. Because he was 'defenseless'?? WTF? He's got the damn ball and going to advance it, but cannot be hit? He knows he's going to get plowed, so why is he considered 'defenseless'? Is it not tackle football? Bad rule, worst rule in football.
How about when Goff got broadsided, a couple times, after the ball left his hands? Well after! Part of the game, imo. But, what if he had been injured on one of those non calls?

Any one, of any type, of missed or non call could be considered to affect the outcome of any game. It does not have to happen in the final minute or 2. It could've happened in the 1st half or quarter. 15 yds. is huge, on any given play. At any given point of any game.

Quit pissin' about the damn Saints. Quit pissin' on the Rams. Kill the umps, as they say in baseball.

Actually , just quit pissin' about anything. it's getting old.

A bad call that affects outcome doesn't have to be in final 2 minutes. I spoke of that with Eagles non-touchdowns that were called touchdowns last year. Those were outcome altering. They were not in final 2-minutes. I'm not dense but you're the one who tried saying the Saints should stop crying because of penalties not called in the SB and I asked you to give some examples. The hit from NRC on Pats was correct. It wasn't a blatantly blown call. You may not like the call and the rule but it was called as the rule states. These aren't the same things. It's getting old because you're making allegations that aren't supportable with facts.

Nothing will ever change that Saints situation. Saints were taken from the SB and Rams went in their place and did a fine fine job. The country is fortunate the Rams went. It gave the lowest rated SB in 10 years.

The difference in what you're trying to say is this... When a call is made at a point that is not determining in the game there is no way to know the full impact of the missed call. When it is at the end, you do know. That's the difference. We know that if the call is right in Saints game they kick GW FG and Rams have between 0-12 seconds with no timeouts to kick tying FG.

Brady could win the game outright with that much on the clock! So, it's not entirely impossible for another QB to merely tie the game, with same time.
