We'd love to get solar being in the sunshine state. But not sure we'll live long enough to get a return on our investment. A woman three houses down from us just had 40 panels put on her house for a 100% offset.
Her electric bill was $500 a month. She'll now have a monthly bill of $280 for 30 years. She's a retired school teacher our age in her 60's. She most likely won't live long enough to see a return on her investment.
But she said her daughter will inherit the house and use it as an Airbnb.
