Mist systems are pretty common down here. I can't stand the look of them. I am the guy that just re-ran 250ft of speaker wire underground inside plastic drip tubing. Just so no one will see any wires in my backyard. There is no good way to disguise the mist systems. We just stay inside until around 5pm when the trees start blocking the sun and shades the pool. Perfect timing for when I get home from work. An hour in the pool talking to the wife about her day goes a long way. This may be the only good thing about the extreme heat we have.
