Well, seek and ye shall find: "To give a frame of reference for performance, with a driver the difference in carry distance between a head with a COR of 0.820 and another head with a COR of 0.830 would be 4.2 yards for a swing speed of 100 mph. It is true that as swing speed increases, the distance difference is greater. And likewise, as swing speed decreases the distance difference for each increment of the COR measurement is less. This is one of the reasons why the USGA rule which limits the COR of a clubhead has the effect of penalizing the slower swing speed golfer much more than the high swing speed player" (Tom Wishon quote on https://www.thoughtco.com/what-is-cor-1563310).
Note, however, that unless I'm mistaken, Tom's conclusion that the USGA limits on COR penalizes the slower swing speed golfer much more than the high swing speed player makes no sense. He states this conclusion even while stating at the same time that "faster SS players benefit greater from increases in COR. The USGA has to limit the COR for high SS players to make the courses meaningful for pro level swingers. There may, however, be an argument to eliminate this rule for amateur players, but then you get into the difficulty of the different levels of amateur players.
(Now even I'm thread-jacking my own thread. What is this thread even about? I initially intended to use it to compile a list of component manufacturers, but that effort ended before it got started.)
