The thing I see in Bender’s swing (and all good players swings) is in his downswing the shaft is parallel with his right forearm. Also called in the slot. The rest for me is just noise or style.
Get the shaft in that position and you’ll hit solid shots. However, you don’t want your forearm in a too steep position. There’s a few swing thoughts for me to do this.
One being swing the shaft below your shoulder. Both on the way back and then down. Another is to just feel like you’re swinging under. The skimming the stone across a pond.
Some can take it back steep and shallow it out on the way down. I can’t do that. This concept has changed my ball striking dramatically. Shallowing out is all the rage now. I finally found an easy way for me to do it. Again, everything else is noise or style.
