Since, there seems some interest in non-traditional methods of the golf swing. Here are 3 that I have tried or used. There are more but these three I feel...

Shoulders could be a bit open. It looks like you're trying to hit a high cut. Really a very reliable shot IMO and one I wish I could hit with consistency.

I have a longtime Moe forum friend who is a huge proponent and student of the Moe Norman swing. He has been doing it for longer than I have. He is convinced that at least the old man Moe would set up to the right and hit pulls. There are videos in which it sure appears that way.

I know you don't want swing advice, and I'm not capable of giving it anyway. I will say, your face on is a lot like Jack Kuykendall's swing methods.

I always thought their method looked, let's say unsightly. But if it works....

sdandrea1 Not the best looking golf swing I've ever seen, but it certainly isn't the worst, and since you post scores that are generally better than mine, I'd say it's working out ok for you.

This is me trying the Gary Edwin Right Sided Swing. You basically set up with your weight left in a reverse K position and just go back with the arms which pull your shoulders back a little. Downswing is all arms. It's a little like the Venetos swing with more movement. Jump to 14 seconds in.

So here's another swing of me trying the Jimmy Ballard swing. Now Ballard is the complete antithesis of the RSS. He advocates a move back into the right leg and the head moves back and then you move laterally back to the ball. Kind of hard to tell the difference between the two yet I really feel the difference when doing them. That's why I say we can probably only change our swings so much, at least without a ton of work, skip to 30 seconds in. Sorry for it being sideways.

DonM I've only messed around with it, never really gave it a long try. I could see it being a good, simple way to swing . I played really well today using the Ballard swing, so I'll stick to that for now.

I agree with Don. Gary your Gary Edwin RSS swing looks very good.

scotts33 So you're saying the Ballard swing sucks? Lol. If things go south with Ballard, RSS here I come. Haven't tried it with a driver. Well I did a long time ago, but I couldn't get a handle on the swing back then. I've seen some better videos since and seem to have a better understanding of it . I think I actually have a little too much movement in the video

garyt1957 From the camera perspective, the Ballard swing looked like a pull fade. But the RSS swing looked nicely on path, and with good weight transfer.

I went back to my sdandrea1 swing today.......same good results. Sometimes trying something new gets me back on track.

sdandrea1 I think I can see why shafts don't matter that much to you. You're probably not placing much load on them in transition. It's a smooth swing and it works, so there you go.

BTW IMO those trying to learn any non-traditional swing need actual lessons and this would be one way to go. IMO it's why most of us fail to grasp certain concepts on any non-traditional swing and eventually go away from what we decided to try.

Jim Venetos told me I'd have to stop playing golf at the course until I could grasp the JV swing concepts mainly "stillness". It might take a better part of 2 months at the range to get this down so I have not opted to do it.

scotts33 I sure wish I'd had an instructor available to me over the years of learning my swing. I started with the Natural Golf system, and there were a couple guys in the Chicago suburbs. So I did get started with them. But after they disappeared, I was on my own. Kirk will do video, and that's great, but nothing beats an in person session.

I tend to agree, you get to a point where you need actual eyes on your swing to get past a certain point. You can't be sure you're doing what you think you're doing.

2 piece distance balls spinny? I think of premium urethane as spinny and I know Steve doesn't use them. 😉

I do try to keep the hands quiet and swing with my body. I rely on straight over distance so yes there is not much wrist cock, lag, release. Lighter graphite shafts feel a lot better for me if I can time my downswing right.

I use 2 piece soft core balls, not the spinny expensive ones. 😊
