Bang Super BOM Review

Took my Bang Super BOM out today for the first time.
I'm not a practicer or range guy so just put it in the bag and went golfing.
The head was 192 grams on my scale,so I put one of my favourite shafts the Aldila DVS 80 R in it for the first go.I got the 12* head as I have been playing higher loft drivers for the last several years.I'm not a high ball hitter,even with the higher lofts.
The first few drives were quite low,and even 1 grounder,but they all went far enough for a decent second shot into the green.After noticing that the ball tended to have a fade to it I added a little loop in my swing and for the rest of the round I hit the most consistant 10 yard fade I have ever hit.I hit it right where I was aiming with good to very good distances for me.The consistency surprised me and gave me tons of confidence.I can't wait to get out again and play around with ball position and tee height.I'm working for the rest of the weekend though.
My first outing was very good with the Super BOM.I heard lots of "nice drive" and "your driving it good today" and I was.The sound is also very nice,a pleasant deep tone.
I'm very excited about getting out again with this driver.I haven't swung a driver with this much confidence in a very long time,and I sense it will only get better with a few more rounds.

Ping makes very forgiving G models, if you like the Super better than G25, that says in volume.

Very nice! Now for the good news from Bang. Buy from Value Golf as the entire first shipment is SOLD OUT!

We are coming with low lofts....the low loft head will be known as The GRID REAPER. That name will be on the face of the club in a bead blast.

Left handed for our friends up North I presume will be out later this year...possibly. No date set yet...but we are speaking to the foundry about it.

Round Number 2 with the Super BOM was very much like the first time.Nice little consistent fade and very good distances.It's in the bag.I like it a lot.

Do you think a lighter shaft might straighten the ball flight ?

I've been thinking about that and will probably try it at some point.Right now it just plain works for me and I love the consistency.

Excellent! You can reduce/eliminate that fade Jazz by adding 4 grams of weight down the hosel section. The head is slightly on the lite side for club fitters to determine shaft fit, etc.

Another alternative than a lighter weight shaft. But adding weight to the hosel will change the characteristic of the feel for the shaft.

If this head has adjustable hosel be much easier. I have 5 shafts for two driver heads and it was easy to change the shaft when I need to. Shorter heavier shaft with lower flex point, std length or 47"

True true on the lighter shaft in conjunction with lighter head as R said. I have never been much of a shaft guy...I know nothing about shafts per se. Once you start thinking of other golf thoughts and get heavily involved you tend to let other important thoughts fade.

I have no idea what the Hell I was talking about on this post above...but, what else is new!

I have two driver head, one at 8° and one 10.5°
between the two heads I have 5 shafts, the OEM Matrix RUL54 at 46" in S flex,
the Graphite Design Pershing 65 X 46", and Sanvik Titanium S flex 44 1/2",
UST V2 65 S 45 1/2", TTDG S 300 44".
It is very fun with this driver head, depending on the day I play, one of the shaft head combination would be suited better than the rest.

It's a very good driver for me right now.

Glade you are still bagging this driver.
A lot of golfers do not understand that distance is only part of the formula for a good driver.
